The MTLx516/C interface enables control of two safe-area loads using switches or proximity detectors located in hazardous areas. The unit features line-fault detection (LFD) that monitors field wiring for open or short circuit conditions, with status indicated by LEDs on the module.

• Input/Output Characteristics: Normal phase operation with outputs closed when input > 2.1mA and open when input < 1.2mA
• Line Fault Detection: User-selectable via switches; detects open-circuit (Iin < 50µA) and short-circuit (Rin < 100Ω) conditions
• Sensor Voltage: 7 to 9V DC from 1kΩ ±10% source
• Hysteresis: 200µA (650Ω) nominal
• Relay Outputs: Requires suppression for reactive loads
