1756-N2 Allen Bradley Modules / ControlLogix Single Slot Filler Module

The 1756-N2 is a slot filler module package from AB consisting of two passive modules (casings without electronic circuitry). Commonly referred to as a dummy module, it covers and protects exposed circuitry in vacant slots of the 1756 ControlLogix system.

Designed as a single slot width module, the 1756-N2 doesn't occupy a chassis slot but provides essential protection against dust, gases, vapors, and other industrial contaminants. It's particularly valuable in environments with high particulate counts.

Vacant backplane slots are often maintained for strategic system partitioning, I/O module distribution during modifications, expansion provisions, or reserved slot configuration through module inhibition. The 1756-N2 is suitable for all these scenarios.

This module can be safely mounted or removed with or without power, as it contains no electronic components. Operating temperature range is 0-60°C (32-140°F), with storage temperature range of -25 to +60°C (-13 to +140°F).
