Eaton MTL HMS64 HART Backplane 64 Channel with 4 MTL4852 Capacity

The Eaton Crouse-Hinds series MTL HMS64/HMM64 backplane is designed for installations requiring more than 80 field loops. The system can be based on HMM64 and HMS64 HART backplanes to accommodate extensive loop requirements.

An HMM64 backplane accommodates one MTL4851 master module and up to three MTL4852 secondary modules for a total of 64 loops. Three additional HMS64 backplanes, each carrying four MTL4852 modules, can be daisy-chained to the HMM64, providing an extra 3 x 64 loops (total 256 loops) from one RS485 address location.

For medium to large scale installations, the HMM64 'master' and HMS64 'secondary' HART backplanes are an optimal solution for handling HART maintenance signals to and from field devices.

The HMM64 and HMS64 backplanes are designed for control room equipment cabinet mounting, supplied on carriers suitable for T- or G-section DIN-rail mounting in any orientation.

DC power is required only on the HMM64. HMS64 backplanes receive power through the cable from the HMM64 or preceding HMS64 backplane. The HMM64 features a removable 4-way screw-clamp terminal connector for redundant 24V dc supply connections.
